Delete your OKIAS Messenger account
You're in control of your data. Here's how to permanently delete your account and what happens to your information.
How to delete your account
From the app (recommended)
- Open OKIAS Messenger and go to Settings.
- Tap Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm with your phone number and, if enabled, your PIN.
- Confirm deletion. Your account is removed and you're signed out on all devices.
If you can't access the app
If you've lost access to your device, email us from the address linked to your account so we can verify you and process the deletion.
What gets deleted
- Your account, profile and encryption keys are removed.
- Your messages are unreadable to us already (end-to-end encrypted) and are deleted from delivery queues.
- You're removed from your groups; group membership records tied to you are cleared.
- Some records may be retained briefly where required for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations, then deleted per our retention policy.
